06/2009 Platz 4 " ... Fazit: Ein guter Allrounder mit guter Rückmeldung und Lenkpräzision, der sich bei Nässe allerdings knapp dem Metzeler geschlagen geben muss. Landstraße trocken: Gute Rückmeldung, breiter Grenzbereich und mehr als ausreichende Haftung für die meisten Tourenbikes- Pirellis neuer Angel ST gibt einen guten Einstand. In puncto Handlichkeit und Neutralität müssen allerdings kleinere Abstriche gemacht werden, in der Lenkpräzision liegt er minimal hinter dem gleich plazierten Metzeler Z6. Beim Bremsen in Schräglage fällt ein leichtes Aufstellmoment auf, die Fahrt mit Sozius meistert der Pirelli ohne spürbare Leistungseinbußen.
Nasstest: Auf nasser Piste gefällt der Angel durch seine gute Rückmeldung sowie akzeptable Bremswert. Aufgrund seines etwas schmaleren Grenzbereichs bleibt er in der Abschlusswertung bei Regen knapp hinter dem metzeler Z6, dem er ansonsten sehr ähnelt.

- Fazit: " Der Angel ST ist ein unauffälliger Punkte-Hamster. Er ist derart ausgewogen, dass es an ihm kaum etwas auszusetzen gibt. Vor allem seine Lenkpräzision ist, 4500 Kilometer hin oder her, auf hohem Niveau. In der Nass-Wertung sammelt er fleißig Punkte, könnte allerdings einen etwas breiteren Grenzbereich vertragen. Insgesamt baut der Pirelli über den gesamten Test kaum ab, was ihn ganz nach vorne bringt.
- Fazit TESTSIEGER:"Der Angel zeigt sich sehr ausgewogen über die gesamte Testdistanz, die 4500 Kilometer rütteln wenig an den guten Fahreigenschaften. Besonders angenehm: die Lenkpräzision. Hohe Schräglagen werden vom Angel ST sehr neutral ohne Kippelei oder Trägheit weggesteckt. Auch im Nassen ein Engel. Mit hoher Kurvengeschwindigkeit und gutem Bremsweg erreicht der ST die zweitbeste Rundenzeit. Allerdings ist der Grenzbereich im Vergleich zum Roadsmart etwas schmaler.
